The Filmmaker

Swaroop is a Writer-Director who seeks to enthrall and captivate his audience through his films. A Bachelor of Visual communication with a natural flair for beautiful frames and photography combined with a keen interest in edit patterns, it didn’t take him long to make a mark as a student film maker, at the LV Prasad Film & TV Academy. Post film school, he set out to further hone his directorial skills by working with renowned directors in the Tamil industry, as an associate director. It was post relocating to Mumbai in 2010 that he realized the best way to work closely with directors was by donning the cap of a script supervisor. Thus, beginning his 10 year long stint as a script and technical supervisor, which allowed him to work with a range of top directors like Ram Madvani, Amit Masurkar, Brad Bird, Abhishek Kapoor, Abhishek Sharma, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Ribhu Das Gupta, on an ensemble of movies like Neerja, Kedarnath, Sherni,Tere Bin Laden-2, Mission Impossible-4 (India-shoot) , Bhangra Pa le, Sumo Didi, Saina, Michael; so on, sitting right beside the director, supervising all the technicalities involved in converting script to Cinema.
 
In 2019, having learnt various techniques and upped his skill in the 15+ movies that he had worked on as a script supervisor/associate director, he began making various Digital Ads, Documentaries and corporate videos for clients like Tata hospitals, Universal schools & colleges, Don Bosco schools, TED Talks and Danone India, apart from producing and directing his Short film “The Children of Tomorrow”.
 
With knowledge and experience as a guiding force, he is now looking to take up challenging positions with top Agencies and Production houses on projects ranging from Documentaries, Travel videos, Ads and Feature films pushing the bar higher with each step..!
